Sophia Rodriguez, MD

Dr. Sophia Rodriguez was raised in Chicago and the southwest suburbs.  She completed her undergraduate studies at Loyola University Chicago and her medical school training at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She stayed at the University of Illinois at Chicago for her residency training where she served as a Chief Resident. While in residency, her numerous service recognition awards included: the Outstanding Laparoendoscopic Surgeon Award, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Resident Achievement award in recognition of excellence in minimally invasive surgery.  She received multiple Medical Student teaching awards, and Professionalism Awards. She was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society as a medical student.

Dr. Rodriguez is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology. She provides obstetrical care and gynecological care including contraception, management of complex gynecological conditions like fibroids, and she performs surgery for benign gynecology.  She is bilingual in English and Spanish.

Outside of work, she likes to spend time with her family, going to new restaurants and practicing yoga.
